Oracle 7, AIX 4.1 and snapshot groups: do they work properly?

Is there anyone that could help us?

We are working with Oracle 7.3.2 on AIX 4.1.x platforms, and we use snapshots and snapshot groups to propagate data from one database to another.
Unfortunately, it seems that the group mechanism is not working properly (i.e. the snp processes dump their registers and the call trace stack).

Do you have some hints?
