Data Base Analyst (DBA) - La Crosse, Wisconsin

Position Description: Data Base Analyst Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin

Responsibilities:

· Provide support for Sybase SQL Anywhere (formerly known as Watcom) and Oracle databases in a client/server information processing environment. · Primary responsibility is supporting a data replication process to update distributed Sybase SQL Anywhere databases from central Oracle databases.
· Other responsibilities include database implementation, backup, recovery, performance tuning, disk space management, and RDBMS support.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
· Minimum of one year experience using Sybase SQL Anywhere or Oracle. · Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and database backup and recovery.
· Prefer experience with Windows NT or Novell Netware servers, PowerBuilder and C++.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer support skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
