NYC - Oracle DBA/Developer - Global Trading Systems Group - CONTRACT

My client, a world famous banking organization based in New York City is currently searching for an experienced Oracle DBA with good development skills for their top global systems area.

You will be involved in several new Oracle initiatives that involve heavy integration of Oracle with modern state of the art trading software and middleware products. Projects involve support and development of Oracle in the areas of Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and Investment Banking.

Candidates must have 2+ years Oracle 7 DBA experience, with knowledge of logical and physical design, stored procedures, backup and recovery. Also you must have hands-on development skills using C++ or a Windows front-end tool.

The key role of this position will be to spot problem areas during the integration phases and create solutions from a DBA/Developer stand point.

Candidates do not need to have financial systems experience, but it is an advantage.

Excellent hourly rate (W2 or Business to Business).
