Routines for Connection to oracle server

HI.

I've a question. I must develop some routine in C-C++ (under win95-NT) for connection to oracle server and data trasaction. Which library can I use ?. I know ODBC interface, is fast this library, or is better others library ? I heard speak of OCI (oracle call interface) how i this library ?

Someone can explain me on thi argument ? Thank's
