I don't have experience with Oracle vs. SQL Server performance-wise. However, I can tell you that SQL Server does not support some of the basic elements of the ANSI standard such as cascading deletes/updates, nor does it support before/after triggers. SQL Server also has quite a few annoying bugs that impede the development cycle.
