1. The company HSB (Healthcare Systems Benelux)

HSB B.V. is an innovative enterprise in the new and rapidly growing market of chipcards, chipcardtechnology and chipcardsystems. In this dynamic market HSB is a pioneer in implementing the use of smartcards in healthcare projects and insurance companies. At this moment HSB is going to be active in markets outside these two sectors. HSB is occupied with the total spectrum of types of cards: from simple human-readable types to very advanced smartcards. The largeness of our projects varies from several thousands of chipcards to half a million or more. For this reason we are among the most important players in the market of chipcardtechnology.

One of our main products is the CardCare KMS (Card Management System). This softwareproduct is the center of the total system (for controlling the logistics of production and issueing chipcards), which HSB is able to deliver to its accounts. Next to this softwareproduct HSB is able to supply the desired hardware for building the total infrastructure for controlling and managing chipcards.

The development of this CardCare KMS is still going on and is continuously needed because of rapidly changing demands of the market (e.g. multifunctional chipcards, relation chipcard and internettechnology). For this reason our main point of attention is software-development.

HSB is (now) a fairly little company and has a qualified management (some decades experience). The R&D-group (your potential collegues) exists of professionals, is rather young (end 20/begin 30) and forms a firm team with a pretty nice atmosphere. Working hard but not overworking ourselves is our device. The littleness of the team causes a very diversified job, in which you get many responsibilities in no time.

Our candidates will have to meet at least a few of the following requirements: * Experience/knowledge of:
- Systemdesign, -analysis and methodology

• Large relational databases (Oracle, Sybase, Informix, etc.), SQL
• A variety of softwaredeveloping environments (we develop most of our time in Delphi and C++)
• Object-oriented methodology
• The client/server concept
• MS-DOS / MS-Windows 3.1(1)/95/NT / UNIX
• Networking protocols (TCP/IP; IPX/SPX) and/or internettechnology
• Chipcardtechnology
• Projectmanagement

Depending on knowledge and experience the emphasis in your future job lies on implementation or systemanalysis/design.
