Don't know nuffin' 'bout VMS, but expect it's the same as UNIX. I assume that you've got SQL*NET set up on the VMS end. You don't mention anything about the client end - I'll assume it's a PC. You'll need a PC version of SQL*NET at that end too. The Microsoft ODBC distribution disks used to come with a driver for Oracle 7, (SQL*NET still required on PC) however I think they've stopped doing that. I got my ODBC package from Oracle.

Then its simply a matter of configuring the connection and you're away.
