Oracle DBA required - 1 year - Nigeria

Geocon are looking for an Oracle DBA for a year's contract in Nigeria on VAX-VMS and Unix systems.

The job will involve the review of existing configuration and procedures at a large site followed by the recommendation and implementation of changes to improve performance, functionality and security. Training will need to be given to on-site users.

Extensive experience with Oracle programs from V6 and with VAX-VMS and DCL are required as is the ability to work with others and a batchelors degree (min. 2nd class honours). Desirable experience includes networked Unix workstations, SQL*NET and TCP/IP.
