Hi,
You have not mentioned what version of FORMS you are using while it is apparent that you are using FORMS 3.0 instead 4.0 or 4.5. It would be better to straight away start on the CLIENT SERVER FORMS 4.x instead of having to learn 3.0 and then at a later date having to learn 4.x where in the concepts are that much different.
It would be a better idea to learn SQL*FORMS 4.x (in general Developer 2000 and also Designer 2000 tools) and hence get used to the client server environment. Your front end could be MS-Windows or NT or WIN95 or OS2 it does not matter as long as you learn the concepts.
