Re: How long to install Oracle on Sparc?

This really is more of a factor of your personal experience level than anything else. I have seen installation on Solaris take as long as two days to get everything, including SQL*Net up and configured properly. However, I used to install Oracle databases on brand new, clean HP servers (which aren't much different than the Sun servers) and I could get a full blown installation done within two hours. I think a lot of it has to do with how comfortable you are with the process of installing Oracle in general. You probably would be safe to assume it will take you a day to a day and a half if you want to have some flexibility in your schedule.
