Hi,

I am trying to get an Oracle/Cobol development environment up and working in a PC environment. I am having some trouble.......and before I start....I come from the DB2 world and into the Oracle world so people here might say I'm headed in the right direction....:-)...

I am told that Pro/Cobol, Oracle for Win95 and Micro Focus Cobol 4.0 (32bit) do not work today. I am told that procobol is still in 16 bit mode. (I was told this only after the orders were taken and the products delivered so I am in haste....)

I was wondering how are people doing any Cobol/Oracle development on either win 95 or win 3.1? Does anyone out there have a working cobol/oracle environment they can tell me about????

Can I use Oracle for Win 3.1 under Win95 and use pro/cobol (16bit) and MF Cobol (16bit)?

Can I use oracle for win 3.1 under win 3.11 and use pro/cobol (16 bit) and MF Cobol 16 bit?

I would appreciate it if you could share your experience with this new to Oracle and very keen to get Oracle working user...:-)

Thanks
