You should be aware that Oracle does not officially support GNU C for use with Pro*C. It seems to work, but I have never done anything serious with it.

You should also be aware that there used to be some problem porting GNU code to Pyramid.People have done it but it is not straight forward. It seems to depend which Pyramid OS you are using. You could try asking around on comp.sys.pyramid to see if this has been resolved.

I don't think the gnu debugger copes with the issue of different line numbers between the Pro*C and C code (very few debuggers do)
