How can I [replace|translate] an apostrophy in SQL*PLUS?
for example I want to use the following in a script:-
update atable
If The value for &TEXT1 has an apostrophy in it, eg. "bob's dog"
oracle goes berserk! fails.
I tried to translate it but WOH! it sees the apostroph in the
text as the end of the string.
Any Ideas greatly appreciated..
Thanks in anticipation
set
charfield1 = '&TEXT1',
charfield2 = '&TEXT2'
where conditions are met.
