SCI has the following client requirement:
Position: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Burlington, MA
Salary: Negotiable
Description:
Successful applicant will be responsible for managing, maintaining,
and administering our client's Oracle database running locally on
DG/UNIX machine, one Oracle database running remotely via Novell and
one Oracle/NT test database. Also responsible for administration &
maintenance of Oracle database tables. Other responsibilities include
troubleshooting hardware and software problems for in-house support,
training internal users on hardware and software, documentation and
diagramming of internal network and systems.
Applicants should have a strong knowledge of Novell 3.11, Oracle 6.0 and 7.0, UNIX, DOS, Windows, TCP/IP, NFS and various back-up systems. Additionally, applicants should have the ability to effectively plan and meet deadlines, work in a team environment and demonstrate the ability to work with end-users. Additional experience with C programming, WindowsNT, OS/2, Novell 4.01 and E-mail systems would be considered a plus.
