You came to the right place! Go to your local CPAN site and get Perl 5 ( at least version 5.01m ) and the code for DBI and DBD for Oracle.

The version of DBD and DBI will depend on the version of Perl.

We use it extensively in our production system, works great.

www.perl.com is a good place to start.
