This consultant is an Oracle DBA and Unix systems administrator with thorough knowledge of Oracle database internals and a proven track record of analysis, modification, customization, systems administration and database administration of Oracle Financials.

Heavy memory and performance tuning, optimization. Has performed installations, migrations and upgrades. Intimate knowledge of accounting practices and procedues. Designed, created and maintained custom forms, reports and menus using SQL*Forms, SQL*Reportwriter and PL/SQL. Attended Oracle Eduacation's 4-week consultant training program.

Highlights of recent assignments:

Consultant at the nation's largest holder of personal mortgage loans. Serving as a DBA for five instances of Oracle (versions 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3) on three SUN servers composed of two Sparc 1000s and one Sparc 2000 (running Solaris 2.5) as well as an instance of Oracle Financials on a Sequent 250. Performed an installation of Oracle 7.1 and an installation of Oracle 7.3. Installed Oracle Financials on a SUN 1000 running Oracle 7.1.6. Migrated the installation of Oracle Financials on the Sequent 250 to a SUN 1000. The 7.3 instance of Oracle was a data warehouse over 50G.

Member of the team that assembled the project plan for a major entertainment company's installation of all the Oracle Financial and Manufacturing modules. Worked on the initial phase of implementation as team leader for the Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and General Ledger teams. Interviewed users and completed flow charts diagramming the As Is processes and made recommendations for the To Be processes. Assisted in designing the chart of accounts. Fixed Assets required two sets of books composed of a tax book and a corporate book. Resolved a unique payables/receivables problem with a movie rental portion of the business that created no revenue but was required to be reflected in the General Ledger.

Performed two full time positions -- those of the Oracle DBA and the UNIX Administrator overseeing Oracle Financials running on Oracle7 and Solaris 2.3 on a Sparc 1000. Was responsible for every aspect of the system including maintaining backup routines and scripts, performing installations of Solaris 2.3, tuning, maintaining and refreshing two instances of the database, managing tablespaces, tables and indexes, managing printers and developing interfaces between systems. Coordinated efforts enabling the company to meet critical deadlines including going live with the completely new Oracle System, supervised conversion of data from an old M&D system to Oracle. Developed and instituted process improvements on a national level.

Oracle DBA for a Marketing and Research department using a SUN 2000 server and a Solaris 2.3 operating system. Responsibilities included maintaining a version 7.0.12 and a version 7.0.16 instance. Analyzed and implemented a sub-system that involved loading over 6G of data Pfizer purchased form outside sources; created and managed tablespaces, tables, indexes, users, roles, rollback segments; wrote shell scripts; wrote and optimized SQL queries; adjusted key mappings using ORACLE*Terminal; and resized the database including the mirroring of redo logs on different disks.

Member of Oracle development team designing a system for a company's shipping department. Responsibilities included extensive design, creation and maintenance of forms and reports. Also, systems analysis

such as interviewing users. Spent two months setting up a data administration system for the project. This included migration and synchronization of data among four database instances. Extensive use of CASE*Dictionary was required.

Guest Lecturer for SQL*Reportwriter Class. Presented seminar on Oracle to computer students.
