SQL*Loader and .dbf files?

Hi!
I am just getting familiar with sql*loader and, after pouring through some documentation I don't see any easy way of reading in .dbf files directly (without converting them to a tab or comma delimited file first). Am I missing something or is this just not done? If anyone has a sample control file out there that will do the trick, I would be extremely greatful to see it!
