I don't have enough technical expertise to debate 'feature points', but it may be of interest to explain why we (recently) selected Oracle as our database of choice.
We're currently running Oracle 7.3 on NT quite happily. Probably MS SQL Server could fulfil our *current* needs, but we would be putting all our eggs into one OS basket.
Oracle gives us other hardware/OS options for the future. I won't bet *against* Microsoft, but for a few dollars more I can keep my options open.
