Help Getting Data out of Oracle and into a file

I want to transfer some of an existing Oracle database into a new NT SQL server 6.5 database. It occurred to me that the best way to do it is to write out the relevant fields into a a text file, then read that into the SQL Server. Can anyone give me any hints on how to go about it?
