Use the DBD and DBI modules that are available for PERL5. Your nearest CPAN site will have these archived, else try ftp.demon.co.uk.
There is an Oraperl.pm module that emulates the old Oraperl functionality. DBD and DBI compiled out of the box for me with v7.3.2 and Pro*C v2.2.2. under Solaris x86 and gcc.
