Hello,

My name is Bill Perkins and I am a DBA with the Kansas Department of Revenue and have eight years of mainframe experience. We are moving to an Oracle7.3 database application that will be running under WindowsNT 3.51. I have been to a few Oracle User Group meetings in KC and have found them to be very helpful and enlightening. I have also noticed that there are not many Oracle/NT users at the meeting as most are operating with UNIX.

Even though Oracle is the same database on each platform, each operating system has a few different parms, files, and settings. For these reasons, I believe that an Oracle/NT Users Group would be plus for all of us working with Oracle and WindowsNT. We could hold meetings on the air, setup a home page, get a Usenet Newsgroup established, and get a networking group going to assist each other when those great opportunities arise.

If you are an Oracle user, currently running under NT, and would like to get an Oracle/NT Users Group established, give me a shout. I can be reached at 913-296-0048 or emailed at kdor50_at_ink.org or wgp0048_at_aol.com.
