Quite a large number of people answered ... however, most seemed to miss the point the original question made (based on my interpretation of the question):

'Where is SQL*Plus? (unix)'

Could mean:

'What is it called?'
'Where should it reside?'
'Where did it go?'

amongst other possible variations.

Potential answers:

1. In $ORACLE_HOME/bin as 'sqlplus'
   • IF INSTALLED AT ALL && INSTALLED IN 'NORMAL LOCATION'
2. In your $PATH
   • IF you have set up your environment (possibly using a routine like Oracle's supplied 'oraenv').
