Jay,
1.First of all MTS will not work without SQL*Net v.2.X. 2.Protocol=beq is the default protocol when using SQL*Net and I beleive there is a way to set it to other protocols. 3.The way I understand from ORACLE corporation is that you can not use MTS for terminal/direct connections. In other words, you can use MTS but it will work as dedicated as if you have set SERVER=DEDICATED.
