CDE II and Developer/2000

HI all,

        I've just picked up a C/S development project using CDE II. But I don't know what CDE II is about. And we are using Oracle7 Server 7.1 running on Solaris 2.4. I have the following questions:

1. Should we migrate the server to 7.3 ?
2. What is the difference between CDE II and Developer/2000 ?
