We've a couple of HP HP/UX boxes and a couple of Sun Solaris boxes.
One HP and one Sun box have a database, all machines have Oracle
installed or shared.
We can successfully use sql*net to get sqlload to work between the HP
boxes, but we can't get it to work between the two Suns or from an HP to
a Sun. When trying to connect, there's a long pause and then a
connection failure message.
As far as we can tell, all machines are using the same tnsnames.ora, etc
files.
Our DBA has little idea what's happening "I'm more used to Vax" says
he...
Any ideas? Are there any logs we should look at to try and track down
the problem? And from which end?
