You need the correct ODBC driver to make the connection, but yes it is supported on UNIX.
If you are trying to connect to an Oracle database, and have SQLNet running, then the odbc connection that comes with Oracle windows client will work fine over TCP/IP provided that SQLNET is setup correctly. Received on Fri Aug 09 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
