First of all, thanks to all who notified me that I needed to upgrade to Solaris 2.5 in order to install Oracle Server 7.3.2. That has been done, and now I face a new problem.

The situation is: Sun SparcStation 10, Solaris 2.5, Oracle Server 7.3.2, SQL*Net 2.3.2.1. The problem is that external clients cannot connect to the server, necause an error ORA-12500 is produced. When checking the Listener trace files, I get the following:

...

NSE=12538
-<ERROR>- nsres: id=9, op=72, ns=12538, ns2=0; nt[0]=0, nt[1]=0, nt[2]=0 sending NSPTRF packet
130 bytes to transport
no timer allocated
closing transport
global context check-out (from slot 9) complete Deallocating cxd 0x1efdc0.
...

I should also mention that I have not modified listener.ora nor any other file, and that SqlNet 2.3.2.1 works fine with Server 7.2.3.

Could anybody help? Thanks in advance.
