No need to upgrade. We are using Solaris 2.4 together with Forms 4.5.6.1.0 and are still bothered with this "feature".

: We have developed a set of work-arounds because of the error and we

: the system is almost guaranteed to give the error when you attempt to
: copy (or drag-and-drop) a component from one form to another. The
: error also seems to appear when inserting menus components into the

I agree, cut&paste of items could be the origin of the problem.

: It would appear that the error is somewhat display based because of
: the origin appears most often when making use of the cut-and-paste

: So we save often and avoid some of the more likely problem origins.

Even better is to hold some backups or revisions of the file, since another "feature" is a corrupted fmb-file, which in my case forced Forms to crash everytime when I tried to run it...

: IT SURE COULD BE IMPROVED TO HELP DEVELOPER PRODUCTIVITY.

: Anyway, that's been our experience.

Thanks, so far,
happy to hear that others also have to fight with nasty bugs.
