hi,
I have the required privileges because I'm able to execute the SQL statements from SQL
Plus. Also, I'm able to create and execute a procedure that does not contain any SQL
statements. I have read the manuals and other books but no help was available for the
problem I'm encountering. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
I'm a new user of Oracle. Oracle 7.3.2 was newly installed in my workplace and I'm
trying to write some stored procedures in PL/SQL. The problem is when I compile my
stored procedure from within SQL PLUS the compiler comes up with an error saying, "SQL
Statement Ignored.".
I'm not able to compile even a simple procedure that has a simple SQL statement in it.
Similarly when I try to use cursors the compile error I get is, "Item ignored". There is
no error number for these errors. It is just PL/SQL : Item Ignored or PL/SQL : SQL
Statement ignored.
GSri.
