Salute to all Developer 2000,

I am stuck the following problem:

When setting the LOV_FOR_VALIDATION property for an item and I enter the respective block where this item is located, it seems that the item is automatically validated (which would be ok) using it's corresponding LOV but even when the value of the item is correct, it's value seems to be updated again using the LOV. This results in getting the same value but the STATUS of the block (or record or form) is now set to CHANGED! I am using the :SYSTEM.FORM_STATUS value to determine whether there are changes to be commited or not. But this effect affects the proper processing of my form. Whenever I select one of my edit-blocks I will be asked to save the changes or not althought there are no changes to be saved.

I know that I could reimplement the LOV_FOR_VALIDATION adjusted to my needs but that's not what I am aiming at.

Ergo: Does anybody know a solution for this without deactivating the LOV for validation?

Help would be highly appreciated!
