SQL Loader Record Length

I am trying to load a fixed length ascii file into oracle tables. Each record is of length 528K. I am running this on a HP-UX platform when I display the file using 'MORE' It appears as though everything is okay and each record starts in column 1. The problem I have is when I run SQLLDR is thinks there are no records. I have had this problem before when the carriage returns and line feeds where missing. They don't appear to be missing in this case but when I use VI I get line to long.

Can I use this record length with SQL Loader?

Any help would be much appreciated.
