Hi

I had a problem just like that when first installing svrmgrm on a HP/UX (rdbms 7.1.6). The problem was caused by me using the character set WE8DEC, and dissapered when I switched to WE8ISO8859P1. This was by the way logged in Oracle's supportdatabase.

So mabye this was worth a try (I mean mabye they have not fixed this error allthough is is a few version old).
