DEPARTMENT/DIVISION IT Consulting
Responsible for promoting and selling IT Consulting & Training Services through the development of relationships with potential and existing clients.
Identifying the Oracle market base, current and future, working with strategic partners and associates to develop a sound client base for Oracle related consulting services. Work with consulting managers after clients have been qualified to close contracts for Consulting and Training services. Prepare presentations, proposals, contracts and other documentation related to the sale of consulting services. Advise consulting managers and V.P. IT Consulting on sales and marketing related issues. Keep abreast of the service offerings, technologies and techniques used by the IT Consulting group in carrying out assignments. Maintain a keen knowledge of skills and experience within the IT Consulting organization making recommendations on new staffing requirements and skills upgrading to meet market demand. Identify possible major projects outside of immediate sales area and work with others in the team to develop and win the business.
This person will be required to lead a team of specialists that implement Oracle Applications. This person will also play a significant role in developing the team through identifying and interviewing suitable candidates, and making recommendations to management. A principal consultant is expected to be self reliant and self-motivated, with the ability to manage all aspects of a project. The incumbent will also be expected to play a key role in acquiring consulting contracts through demonstrating the skills, experience, and product knowledge required to undertake Oracle application implementation projects. Designing and developing interfaces and customization to applications should be expected. From time to time there may be a requirements to participate in other projects that require technical skills and experience in the development of applications using the Oracle Development tools.

This position requires the incumbent to assist consulting managers in consulting sales by participating in demonstrations, presentations, client meetings, and preparing proposal documents.
The ability to model a normalized database is required. Experience in client relations and the ability to manage all aspects of a project will be an important factor in the successful candidate's profile. A principal consultant is expected to be fully self reliant with minimal guidance from upper management concerning project related direction and issues.

This position requires the incumbent to participate in the analysis, design, building, testing and implementation of Oracle based applications for clients at client sites or at the Metasys offices. The incumbent must be able to tune applications and the database, address performance related issues, and advise the project manager or client on the most suitable solutions. The ability to perform structured business analysis including entity-relationship modeling is an essential requirement. A senior consultant must be able to act as project manager and manage all aspects of a project including the relationship with the client.

Being able to learn quickly and accept new responsibilities will guarantee your success. The candidate must also be able to work well with others as part of a team effort.
