Alpa,

First of all Welcome to the ORACLE WORLD.

You need to buy some books published by the ORACLE press and the list is available at http://us.oracle.com or you may call the publishers Osborne at 1-800-227-0900 and get a list of books.

  1. You can use a sequence in the Oracle to act as a counter.
  2. Name your text file like xxxx.sql (extension should be sql) and from SQL Plus SQL prompt enter the following: SQL>_at_xxxx.sql ---make sure your are connecting to SQL Plus from the place where this file resides.
  3. This Statement looks very simple but it is very major task and my suggestion for you is to read book ORACLE DBA hand book by Kevin Loney

Good reading and understanding makes ORACLE more intersting and challenging. Good Luck !!! Received on Tue Jun 11 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
