I have read a couple times asking how to create 2nd instance in the UNIX environment.
You may ask Oracle support fax the document Id. 105289.301, Author Radranly. It provided three methods for creating a second dtabase within the Unix environment, creaing mnaually, using CRDB, and using ORAINST.
You may want to udpate /etc/oratab file after you create second instance to use dbshut and dbstart.
