IMP/EXP Utility Problem

Hi all,

can anyone help me to fix the following problem

Problem: If I am using the Oracle Export (EXP) Utility to export data and  afterwards I want to import the data using the Oracle Import (IMP) utility  then I am loosing all special characters (we are using german characterset  we8iso8859p1).

 We are using Oracle 7.1.6 under HP-UX 9.05.

 Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?
