I am interested in discussing object features in an other way. Often relational databases are used to store the data. Even today the amount of used object oriented databases is not growing fast. Reason may be the resistence to change: RDBMS are known for a long time and programmers are used to optimize the performance with SQL statements. But the object oriented paradigma shows his possibilities/features in the languages C++, Smalltalk and today Java. A lot of client/server-applications are written in C++. But the objects are still hold persistent in relational databases. That is why a gateway is needed. Did someone in this forum ever transform objects to relational rows or does someone are read about it?

I would like to enjoy a discussion with you, because the topic describes the modelling via OOA/OOD, OMT and entity relationship.

Best regards,
