Sybase has a datawarehouse product called Sybase MPP which has been released on ATT (NCR) and will be GA on IBM/SP, SUN and HP mid-year.

This is parallel processing product, so if data interpretation or presentation is the main concern, then there are a number of tools available as clients.

If the main issue is OLAP/DSS processing of very large database, and especially if on-line update is desireable, have the local Sybase sales office talk to you about Sybase MPP.

Or, for a large (but not very large) read-only database, consider the Sybase IQ product.

Of course terms such as "large" or "very large" are not too specific, but IMHO, start somewhere around 100Gb.
