The best way would be to export the database with compress=y and drop the table
s and import the databack. You need not drop the tablespaces and recreating
them. Try it on a single table first and check for defragmentation. If your
tablespaces are well designed you may only need to do it for some very
dynamic tables on a regular basis. Hope this helps.
