Services on an SPX/IPX network need to advertise themselves. The SQL*Net SPX/IPX V1 listener did this for itself, but the V2 listener listens for all enabled protocols, and needs another daemon to register the Oracle service. Look for a control program called ntspxctl. Run it, give the startup command, then quit. Then run lsnrctl to start the V2 listener. Received on Thu May 16 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
