I just wanted to warn about my experiences with the initial version 7.1.

Some of the basic stuff that does not work under 7.1 and seems to work on 7.2 or later:

o Most ANALYZE TABLE statements using an index produce a GPF in the Oracle Server. o The server is relatively slow and consumes mutch more memory than on NetWare. o Most oracle utilities (SQLDBA and SQL*Plus) aren't 32Bit applications. o SQL*Net V2 with SPX has lots of errors. o The cost based optimizer has lots of errors and basically

does not optimize correctly in a lot of situations.

I had big troubles in changing from 7.1.x for NetWare to 7.1.x for Windows NT. Most of them seem to be solved with 7.2.x.
