Applications Lead Oracle Growth

    ORACLE APPLICATIONS DIVISION REPORTS RECORD THIRD QUARTER REVENUES Oracle Corp. announced that third quarter license and services revenue from its Oracle Applications business grew 103 percent over the same period last year. For the third quarter of the fiscal 1996, which ended February 29, 1996, Oracle Applications posted $67 million in software license fees, up 103 percent over the same period last year. Applications-related services revenue totaled $101 million, a 102 percent increase over the same period last year.

Oracle's third quarter license sales (Server, Tools, Applications) grew by 37 percent year-over-year. For the fifth consecutive quarter, Oracle Applications led product revenue growth with licenses increasing 103 percent. Geographic revenue growth breakdown for the third quarter: Oracle Asia Pacific revenues grew 54 percent; Oracle Americas revenues grew 46 percent; and Oracle EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) grew 31 percent.
