There are plans to do this with Foxpro in a PC environment. The problem with this is that you're limited to the Windows OS and all the overhead/ slowness inherent to it. For high-volume work you'll need something better.
For unix, I highly recommend the KE-Texpress database. See www.dingo.com more information. It's an object-oriented database developed on unix and has recently added an html interface.
