Backing up Oracle on Netware server

I am trying to automate or batch my Oracle exports on a netware 3.1 server. I have tried this using by executing an NCF file with the following three load commands in it from the remote console prompt. The results were not satisfactory.
load sqldba command="file with shut down script"
load exp parfile="file with parameters"
load sqldba command="file with startup script"
