The distributed lock manager (DLM) is distributed by either the hardware vendor or Oracle. For the IBM SP2, the DLM is part of the Oracle distribution. For other platforms such as the Pyramid RM1000, it is part of Pyramids O/S.

In general, our OPS installations run extremely well on DSS queries and such. The OPS is also very good at bulk data loading.

The OPS also scales very linearly as compared to no OPS. We have seen that scaling is almost 100% everytime we add a CPU and an instance. Received on Mon Apr 22 1996 - 00:00:00 CEST
