SCI has the following client requirement.
Sr. Software Engineer
Employment Type: Direct
Location: Maynard, MA
Will be part of the SW Manufacturing Technology Group which is responsible for providing strategic direction to our client's software manufacturing plants and for delivering key technologies to operations worldwide.
Excellent opportunity exist for a Sr. Software Engineer to provide technical direction to development programs in the software manufacturing technology organization. Will perform and carry out detailed analysis and problem solving on critical software development projects. Candidate must work well with teams and will be required to develop a comprehensive technical architecture for Software Manufacturing World-Wide that includes on-line submission processes, license management, distributed software libraries and electronic delivery mechanisms.
Applicants should have the following qualifications:
Strong technical background in database design - experience with Oracle, Rdb etc.
Strong technical background in process design.
Excellent working knowledge of client/server technology.
Additional experience with VAX / VMS a plus.
BS/MS in Computer Science or Software Engineering
6-10 Years' experience in software development preferably in a software publishing or publications environment.
