NT Oracle vs NT SQL Server - Comments?

Hi
I seek information (based on experience) about the pros & cons of NT Oracle verses NT SQL Server
Our organization (local gov 300+ users) is considering implementing an intel based NT SQL Server to support a migration of our core AS400 business applications.We already have a small UNIX ORACLE install to support our ARCINFO GIS and UNIX / AS400 integration. So I can't understand the logic of bringing in another db format.
Maybe you can help me understand..
