If you use the dba_data_files table you can get a picture of each tablespace, and how fragmented it may be. Helpful columns are tablespace_name, file_name, bytes (and its sum), num_extents, and free_bytes. Suming on bytes and using 'count' will show you the number of extents and the amount of free space.
