I'm working off a demo that I got out of the Developer/2000 Handbook (I guess I should say *trying* to work off a demo) so I don't have the server error messages doc. Is the ORA-09352 error a invalid password?

I'm really having a tough time with this SQL*Plus logon. We've already installed Oracle on a UNIX box and demos of their financials. I'd like to get Developer 2000 installed here at home so I can begin evaluating it also. But, I can't seem to get past the SQL*Plus logon. I've tried Scott/tiger and System/manager using all sorts of capitalizations...

Also, where is the actual database located and what is it's extension? I never saw one built during the install. I assume there has to be one even though it may not contain any of the demo tables yet. I assume the security tables are located in a DB somewhere? I'm running Windows 95 with some compressed volumes. I'd assume the DB would have to be located on a *uncompressed* volume (which I've searched high-and-low and have not found one).

Thanks. *Any* hints/tips would be greatly appreciated.

  • Now they've taken the first amendment, and I can say nothing about it...
