Hi,

 Does anyone know :

  1. Can I gain overall performance of ORACLE database if I created ORACLE7.1 database with larger size of DB_BLOCK_SIZE (4096 bytes) (Applications accessing this database are more read-intensive).
  2. If yes is the answer for first question, what is the reason that speeds query retrieval? (As number of OS data blocks read with be the same irrespective of ORACLE database block size)

Thanx in advance. Received on Thu Mar 07 1996 - 00:00:00 CET
